Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 23, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what data is processed when you visit andriy2.com, andriy2.app and andriy2.dev (together, "the website"). The website is a personal site: it has no user accounts, no forms, no analytics and no advertising, so very little data is involved.

1. Who Is Responsible

The website is run by Andrii Bakai (Kyiv, Ukraine), who is the controller of the data described below. You can reach me at [email protected].

2. What Data Is Processed

  • Technical request data: like any website, the server receives your IP address, the page you request, the time of the request, your browser's User-Agent and referrer. This data is needed to deliver the page and may appear in server logs, which are used only for operating and securing the website and are not kept longer than necessary.
  • Theme cookie: a single cookie named theme remembers whether you chose the light, dark or system theme. It contains nothing else and is deleted when you close your browser.
  • Color scheme hint: your browser may tell the server whether your system uses a light or dark theme (Sec-CH-Prefers-Color-Scheme), so the page is rendered in the right colors from the start. It is not stored.

The website does not use tracking or advertising cookies, does not build profiles and does not sell or share your data for marketing.

3. Third-Party Services

  • Cloudflare: the website is delivered through Cloudflare's network, which processes request data (including your IP address) to deliver pages quickly and protect the website from attacks. Refer to Cloudflare's privacy policy.
  • Google Fonts: the fonts are loaded from Google's servers, so your browser sends your IP address to Google when you load a page. Refer to Google's privacy policy.
  • External links: links to GitHub, Telegram, Discord, Instagram and MikroTik lead to websites with their own privacy policies. Nothing is shared with them unless you follow the link.

4. Legal Basis

The data above is processed based on legitimate interest in running a secure and working website (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR) and in line with the Law of Ukraine "On Personal Data Protection". The theme cookie is strictly necessary to remember a setting you chose, so no consent banner is needed for it.

5. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you have the right to:

  • ask what data about you is processed and get a copy of it;
  • ask for incorrect data to be corrected;
  • ask for your data to be deleted or its processing to be restricted;
  • object to processing based on legitimate interest;
  • complain to a data protection authority: in Ukraine, the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights; in the EU, the authority of your country.

Since the website doesn't know who you are, including your IP address and the approximate time of your visit in the request helps to find the relevant data.

6. Changes to This Policy

If the website starts collecting more data (for example, if sign-in is added), this policy will be updated before that happens. The date at the top shows the latest version.
